jan 26 2025

To start 2025, I wanted to reflect on the past year. I definitely would have never thought the year could have ended how it did, but I'm grateful for all the memories with friends and the lessons I learned.

Long distance dating ended up not being sustainable for me. My high school self believed love would always be enough, but I started to feel pretty numb towards everything, including my relationship. I'm grateful for the love we shared. My friends really pulled through for me after the breakup. I've just started my journey of learning to love the world as a single person, but every day feels a little freer.

One of my favorite moments of last year was going on a trip to Seattle with my friends. It's such a beautiful city, with its ocean view and the feeling of community on every block. The new light rail was convenient, and the bus was a nice way to get around. I was so happy we went during cherry blossom season. Taking pictures at UW with the trees in bloom was a highlight! I hope to visit again someday, maybe for grad school or just to live there.

A PC setup. It includes a monitor with a background of Pikmin carrying a strawberry, a green keyboard, a black mouse, and the PC itself, which has two clear glass sides and fans with yellow light. A close up of the PC. There are felted dolls of Elster and Ariane from Signalis in front of it.

February 21st will mark a year of having my PC. Honestly, I got it because I really wanted to play Signalis, and it was so worth it! I was pretty stressed about the whole shipping process and after I got it because, according to people on PC Part Picker, I got scammed :( I decided to ignore them because I really needed a new computer anyway, and it makes me happy. This PC started my love of computer hardware and the indie web. This year, I want to be more intentional with my phone use and spend more time personalizing my site. I also hope to put aside some money each month to get new hardware in the fall.
